Introduction

The 2010 International Workshop on E-Marketplace Integration & Interoperability (EM2I'10) is a venue for presenting state-of-the-art research and development achievements in the design, introduction, and use of integration technology for e-marketplaces that affect business interoperability between enterprise information systems, within supply chains, and between fragmented e-marketplaces. EM2I'10 is a research forum to achieve a globally and semantically interoperable common business information space where consumers, enterprises and governments can collaboratively work together in mutually-beneficial electronic and virtual markets.

The workshop solicits paper submissions in a wide range of related topics, including, but not limited to, the following:

 E-marketplace integration

 Semantic inference on e-marketplaces

 E-marketplace functions

 Virtual marketplaces

Legal infrastructure of e-marketplaces and virtual marketplaces

Social computing in electronic and virtual marketplaces

We solicit original unpublished full papers of both technical and empirical aspects. Papers should be submitted in IEEE conference paper format and should not exceed 6 pages. Maximum of two additional pages is allowed for US$150/page. Each paper will undergo a blind review process and typically be reviewed by two to three members of the Program Committee. All papers will be evaluated based on relevance, significance, originality, clarity, and technical merit. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings of ICEBE 2010, which will be published by IEEE Computer Society and made available in the IEEE Digital Library.
